Huatong Machinery Debuts Awant Vertical Shaft Planetary Mixing Plant in Côte d’Ivoire Amid BRI West Africa Expansion

A landmark moment has been reached in West Africa, as a state-of-the-art vertical shaft planetary concrete mixing plant, independently developed and manufactured by Avant, a brand under Huatong Machinery, has successfully completed installation and commissioning at a key project site in the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire and officially entered operation. This milestone not only marks a further expansion of Huatong Machinery's footprint in overseas markets but also introduces a high-efficiency, high-homogeneity concrete mixing solution from China to support Côte d'Ivoire's infrastructure development.
As a major nation on Africa's western coast, Côte d'Ivoire is currently making a strong push to upgrade its transportation network and steadily improve road quality to accelerate urbanization. Against this backdrop, local engineering projects are setting extremely high standards for the homogeneity, stability, and productivity of concrete mixing equipment. Tailored to the local terrain and construction conditions in Côte d'Ivoire, Huatong Machinery provided the client with a specialized vertical shaft planetary mixing plant. Compared with conventional mixers, the vertical shaft planetary mixer at the heart of this plant operates on a unique principle of combined revolution and rotation. During the mixing process, the mixing arms both orbit the main shaft and rotate around their own axes, generating intense multi-dimensional convective movement of the material within the drum and effectively eliminating low-efficiency zones and dead spots. This technological advantage is particularly evident when processing dry, stiff concrete and high-grade concrete, ensuring exceptionally high homogeneity between aggregates and cementitious materials in every batch, thereby providing a solid quality guarantee for local roads, bridges, and municipal works in Côte d'Ivoire.
Furthermore, the equipment is equipped with a high-precision intelligent control system and powder metering devices.
