How To Analyze And Solve The Problem Of Unreasonable Height Of Cement Silo Support Legs
The height of the cement silo's support legs is generally calculated by technical personnel based on the position of the cement silo relative to the batching plant and the main machine, as well as the length of the screw conveyor. Generally, manufacturers produce cement silos with support legs 1.5 meters high, but adjustments can be made according to customer needs. However, regardless of the adjustments, the support legs of the cement silo are always necessary. When customers purchase a cement silo, we consult with them and provide the most suitable suggestions based on their usage and our technical personnel's years of experience. In practical applications, some customers may disregard the manufacturer's advice and reduce the height of the support legs to save costs. As a result, they find that the discharge port is too close to the ground, and the screw conveyor has too steep an incline when transporting bulk materials, failing to achieve the desired results and causing significant problems. In other cases, the cement silo's support legs are higher than usual, which is generally not recommended by the manufacturer. Excessively high support legs can have many negative impacts, primarily safety hazards. The support legs bear the weight of the entire cement silo, and excessive height reduces the safety factor, making inspection, cleaning, and maintenance more difficult.
To address these situations, Gezhi Machinery's technical personnel have developed corresponding solutions: First, if the support legs are too short, we recommend building a concrete base on the existing foundation, according to the required height of the cement silo's support legs, and then welding the cement silo to it. This will compensate for the insufficient height of the support legs. Second, if the cement silo's support legs are too high, we can shorten them, but this is easier said than done. It is essential to have professional cutting personnel handle the process; otherwise, uneven support legs will create a safety hazard. We believe these methods can help customers solve the problem of unsuitable cement silo support leg heights. We sincerely welcome all customers!
